Technical Underpinnings: Modifying Page Rotation Meta-Tags
In the PDF specifications, each page contains a /Rotate entry in its dictionary node, representing the clockwise rotation angle in degrees (must be a multiple of 90: 0, 90, 180, or 270). When you click the rotation buttons in our UI, our script recalculates the target angle. Using pdf-lib, we load the PDF, retrieve the page objects, and execute page.setRotation(degrees(newAngle)).
